Introducing…’Friendly Thursdays’!

A steaming cup of coffee

At long last we are able reopen the cafe area with a new venture – ‘Friendly Thursdays’! At the moment it will just be on the third Thursday of the month until we are established and can recruit some more volunteers.

Starting Thursday 18th June, we will be open from 11am until 3pm with a hot drink and cake just £2.50. Forthcoming dates 18th June, 16th July, 20th August, 17th September 2026.

There will be a ‘Memories chat’ area with local history information to take you on a journey down memory lane or reminisce with fellow visitors. The ‘join-in jigsaw’ is also awaiting keen puzzlers to complete it. Free Wi-Fi available too.

Our traditional peaceful church will be open for quiet prayer/reflection and candle lighting. You can just escape the hustle and bustle for a bit of quiet time.

All are welcome, we have a ramp for wheelchair access.

Consultation Results Available

Following the consultation at the end of last year, we now have the results available as a report. Thank you very much to all who completed the questionnaire.

It is clear you want us to continue with traditional worship and there is strong demand for choirs both within services, and as separate events. Concerts would be popular at weekends and evenings, and there is desire to know more about St. Peter’s history.

We’ll be getting to work on this, and other suggestions, and include these in future plans. The full report can be read here.
